This Privacy Policy explains how WareCo Tech Ltd (“WareCo Tech”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you use the WareCue software (the “Software”) and the website at warecue.com (the “Site”). WareCo Tech Ltd is the data controller for that personal data.

Information we collect

• Account and sign-in data. Your email address, used to create your account and send one-time sign-in codes.
• Trial and marketing data. If you request the free trial, the email address you provide and whether you opted in to product news.
• Purchase data. When you buy a licence, our payment processor collects and processes your payment details. We receive confirmation of the transaction, your licence tier and billing status, but we do not receive or store full card numbers.
• Licence and activation data. When the Software checks in to activate a machine, we record the licence it belongs to and basic machine details such as a machine name and operating system, so you can see and manage your activated devices.
• Support data. Any information you include when you email us.
• Technical data. Standard server and security logs (such as IP address and request information) generated when you use the Site.

Your show media stays with you

The Software stores and plays your media from your own machines. Your show files, video and audio are not uploaded to us and we do not have access to them.

How we use your data

• To create your account and sign you in.
• To provide, activate and support the Software and your licences.
• To process purchases and manage subscriptions.
• To send service messages (such as sign-in codes and licence emails).
• To send product news, where you have opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To keep the Site and the Software secure and to prevent abuse.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Legal bases

We process personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the Software and licences), to comply with legal obligations (such as tax records), on the basis of your consent (optional marketing), and for our legitimate interests in running and securing our business.

Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to run our service, who process data on our behalf, including: hosting and application infrastructure, database and authentication, payment processing, email delivery, and video hosting for demos. These providers are bound to protect your data and to use it only to provide their services to us. Some may process data outside the UK or EEA; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.

Retention

We keep personal data for as long as you have an account or a licence with us, and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes above or to meet legal and accounting requirements. Trial leads are kept until you ask us to remove them or they are no longer needed.

Cookies

The Site uses essential cookies that are required to sign you in and keep your session secure. We do not use these for advertising. If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@wareco.tech. If you are in the UK or EEA and believe we have not handled your data properly, you may also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
