A QLab-style audio cue stack, for Windows
QLab is Mac only. WareCue runs an audio show from a cue stack on Windows (and Mac) — the same muscle memory: GO, standby, fades, levels, triggers and a show timer. Audio is free: download it, build your show and press GO. It even writes your voice-of-God announcements for you.
Free to download and build an audio show. No card, no time limit. Windows 10/11 and macOS.
The audio workflow, on a PC
Build a show as a cue stack and run it on one GO button — fades, levels and triggers, all on Windows where QLab has never gone.
Voice-of-God announcements, written for you
Type the line, pick a voice, and WareCue generates a clean spoken announcement and drops it straight into the cue stack — no booth, no VO session. “Please take your seats”, ready on GO.
Rendered to an audio file in your show — at showtime it fires offline from the stack like any other cue, no network needed.

Need video as well as audio?
This page is about running audio. For the full show-control story — video on multiple screens, take-and-go scenes and scheduling — see WareCue as a complete QLab alternative.
QLab-for-Windows audio questions
Is there a version of QLab for Windows?
No — QLab runs on macOS only. WareCue is a native Windows (and Mac) audio cue app built for the same job: run an audio show from a cue stack with GO, fades, a show timer and triggers.
Is WareCue's audio really free?
Yes. Download it and build an audio show at no cost — a single stereo output, unlimited cues and the full cue workflow, on Windows or Mac. No card, no time limit. You licence a machine only when you add video and multiple screens.
Can it play audio cues with fades like QLab?
Yes. Each cue has fade in, fade out and crossfade, with per-cue gain and loudness-matched import, run from a GO button with standby and auto-follow.
Which sound device does it play through?
Any output device or audio interface on the machine — pick it once and the show runs there. The free audio build uses a single stereo output, which covers the majority of audio shows.
Can I trigger audio cues from a Stream Deck or MIDI?
Yes. Incoming OSC, MIDI, HTTP, WebSocket and TCP fire cues, and there's a Bitfocus Companion module for Stream Deck with live feedback.
Does it have voice-of-God announcements?
Yes, and QLab doesn't. The voice-of-God designer turns typed text into a spoken announcement in a natural voice and adds it to your cue stack as an audio file that plays offline on GO.
Can I import a QLab workspace?
Not directly — cue formats differ. An audio cue list is quick to rebuild: drop your files in, set fades and the output, and you're running.
If audio is free, what do I pay for?
Video. A licence adds video and media playback, and Master drives it across multiple screens with failover and timecode. Audio stays free either way.
